Our 2005 Club Volante stable is currently made up of an exciting selection of thoroughbred
classic cars.
We have a 1959 MGA twin cam, finished in British Racing
Green with black leather interior. The MGA Twin Cam was introduced in 1958 with a
1,588cc power unit, close ratio gearbox, independent coil springs at the front and
a live rear axle with leaf springs at the rear. Disc brakes all round were fitted
as standard. The MGA Twin Cam produced 108bhp at 6,700 rpm providing the car with
a 0-60mph time of 9 seconds and a maximum speed of 115mph.
Alongside the twin cam we have another quintessential British roadster, this one
from the stable of Donald Healey. Our 1955 Austin Healey 100/4
Le Mans spec, which has been restored to concours condition, has a four-speed box
plus overdrive and produces 110bhp with a top speed to 109mph.
Both of these cars truly capture the spirit of motoring in Britain in the 1950s
As we are in Italy we felt that our stable would not be complete without the Cavallino
Rampante, so we have acquired an immaculate Ferrari 208 GT4
built in 1980. This car was the only Ferrari designed by Bertone, and when launched
received high praise for its handling and driving characteristics. The 1990cc dohc
under square V8 power unit produced 170bhp and a top speed of 220 Km/h at 7500 rpm
The events will be led by the Team Volante's two Aston Martins, a 1964 DB4 Mark
3 Vantage and a DB6 Mark 2.
Finally there are two concours Roll Royces, a 1973 Cornice Convertible and a 1925
open tourer, the only one of its type existing in the world today.
