Locations - Getting Here
Club Volante is easily accessible by road, rail and air, and we can arrange for
a taxi to meet you at any of the local airports or stations.
The nearest international airports are Bologna Forli and Ancona, both of which are
served by low-cost airlines and are less than two hours' drive from Bastia Creti.
Most major airlines fly to Bologna and Rome, both about 200km from our base, and Meridiana
operates a service to Florence, again less than two hours' drive away. Alitalia also
flies from Milan to Perugia - only half an hour's drive from Bastia Creti -though
at the moment there are no international flights.
There is a mainline train service between Rome and Florence, and many of the trains
stop at Terontola, which is 45 minutes by car from Bastia Creti. The international
Eurostar trains stop at Florence and Arezzo.
The local FCU line runs between Perugia and Sansepolcro, and although the trains are
not particularly frequent, they stop at Umbertide, just ten minutes from Bastia Creti.
There is also a daily bus service from Rome directly to Umbertide.
Central Italy has a good road network, and Bastia Creti lies between the A1, the main
north-south route in the centre of the country, and the E45, which runs from Ravenna
to Perugia. If you are driving from Rome or Florence follow the A1 to the Perugia
exit, then follow signs to Tuoro. From Forli take the E45 south to the Promano exit,
then follow the signs to Umbertide. Following your booking we will send you precise
instruction on how to reach Bastia Creti.
